Champion Fiberglass is Honored By NEMA’s 2017 Business Innovation Council Illuminations Award
We are honored to announce the reception of NEMA’s (National Electrical Manufacturers Association) 2017 Business Innovation Council (BIC) Illuminations Award. Our win was announced this week as part of NEMA’s 91st Annual Membership Meeting in Bonita, Florida.
The award was established by the NEMA Board of Governors in 2015 as a way to highlight the work of small- and medium-sized NEMA Business Innovation Council member companies. Each year, the award honors a member company that has demonstrated success through entrepreneurial growth, advanced technology, or pioneered innovation.
The organization attributes our win to our work as a leading supplier of fiberglass conduit and strut for use in demanding industrial, electrical, and mechanical markets; our founder, Goran Haag, was also cited for his forward-thinking leadership and overall contributions to the electroindustry.
As we approach our thirtieth year in business, we’re truly honored to have been recognized by our peers with this award, and to be among the other winners, who are all leading their fields. Those winners are:
- Steven G. Rood of Legrand North America and Rebecca F. Rainer of Eaton Lighting, who received the Kite and Key Award, which recognizes individuals who have demonstrated exceptional work in codes and standards.
- Hans Beinke of Siemens Healthcare, who received the organization’s first Rӧntgen Award, which celebrates pioneers within NEMA’s Medical Imaging and Technology Alliance (MITA).
- John W. Estey of S&C Electric Company, who received the Bernard H. Falk Award, which recognizes individuals with outstanding achievements in technology, public affairs, management, trade, and other fields important to the electroindustry.
Please join us in celebrating our colleagues’ success, and in thanking NEMA for bestowing this award on Champion Fiberglass.
