Yes. The Champion Duct® Fiberglass Repair Kit restores damaged RTRC conduit in place, covering cracks, breaks, joint sealing and sidewall rebuilding, including repairs in hard to reach areas. For situations where the cable cannot be removed, Champion Fiberglass also offers split duct conduit for field repairs.
The kit uses a knitted fiberglass tape pre-coated with fast-setting, water-activated polyurethane resin, supplied in a sealed foil pouch with gloves and printed instructions. Wetting the tape activates the resin; wrapping it around the damaged section rebuilds conduit wall strength and restores corrosion resistance as it cures.
The repair is tack free in 3 to 5 minutes at ambient temperatures between 50°F and 80°F. Set time is slower below 50°F and faster above 80°F. Unopened kits have a shelf life of 2 years from date of purchase when stored between 40°F and 83°F.
The kit can be used with any type of fiberglass conduit or piping, including Champion Duct® RTRC conduit and Champion Bridge Drain™. It is compatible with hydrocarbons, petrochemicals, fuels, organics, acids, bases, water, steam, salts and slurries, and holds from -20°F up to 250°F continuous, with temporary exposure to 500°F. Durability may be affected by very strong acids below pH 3. The kit is compliant with US DOT 49 CFR parts 192 and 195, tested under ASME PCC-2 Article 4.1.

Field Repair Kit Product Overview
- Assess the damage. The kit handles cracks, breaks, sidewall rebuilding and joint reinforcement on RTRC conduit and bridge drain, including routine and emergency repairs in hard to reach areas.
- Wet the knitted fiberglass tape to activate the water-activated polyurethane resin.
- Wrap the damaged section, overlapping to rebuild wall strength and restore corrosion and abrasion protection.
- Allow the resin to set. The repair is tack free in 3 to 5 minutes at ambient temperatures between 50°F and 80°F, so the work is completed in a single visit with no excavation and no conduit replacement.
