Get to Know Expedite Team Member Todd Perry

He enjoys family, golf, his dogs, and playing the drums. Meet Expedite Team Member Todd Perry.

Tell us about your role at Champion Fiberglass^Ⓡ. 

I have been with Champion Fiberglass^Ⓡ for a fairly short time. Initially my role was mainly quoting, order entry, and helping customers with any questions they may have. Now my role is providing inside sales support for the mechanical/bridge drain reps and electrical reps.

Tell us about your background. 

Since the late 90s, I have been in plastics distribution. I started out as a warehouse driver, moved up in various warehouse roles, then I moved inside and started my sales career. When I first started, my thought was, ‘Who in the world uses plastic?’ 

Personally, I raised my son Chase as a single dad. I am proud to say, we made it to middle school through high school in one piece!

What attracted you to the role at Champion Fiberglass?

What really got my attention is Champion Fiberglass as a manufacturer. I have been in distribution and fabrication, but I have never worked for a manufacturer. Fiberglass was part of the product line I sold previously. I knew immediately that Champion Fiberglass has a superb name in the marketplace, and the team here works very well together.

How do you spend your time when not working? 

I moved here from Austin earlier this year. I love spending time with my family — I have a large family now and there is always something bringing us together to celebrate. I also like to play golf and spend time with my two pups, Scarlit and Max. 

Tell us something people might not know about you. 

I have been a drummer my whole life. I have played in many musicals over the years; my role was always behind the drums in the orchestra pit. Up until about two years ago, I had never seen a musical from the audience’s perspective. That was a real treat. I have also recorded a couple of CDs in the studio, and appeared on the Fox morning show four times. 

What are you most excited about for 2024, personally and/or professionally? 

2024 started out as a bit of an unknown journey for me. Finding a home here at Champion Fiberglass has definitely been exciting. I am looking forward to seeing where the path leads me personally and professionally.
