Digital transformation is happening at a swift pace across most industries. And the electrical industry is no different. At Champion Fiberglass® we thrive on technology and innovation, from our 100 percent digital facility to the tools we provide customers.

As an ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certified company, we operate the most advanced manufacturing facility of fiberglass conduit, fiberglass bridge drain and fiberglass strut systems in the world. We were founded on innovation — in 1989, Champion Fiberglass developed the first conduit from epoxy resins that had flame resistance and low smoke characteristics, meeting the most stringent codes and specifications.

We’ve always embraced tech tools and feel it is important to provide them to help customers and partners work seamlessly with our products. Here are our latest technology tools to help you find the best electrical conduit solution that provides performance for your project.

The Champion Fiberglass Conduit Calculator

Curious about price? You can get an estimate on-demand. Our calculator tool compares fiberglass conduit to other types of conduit like PVC SCH 40, PVC SCH 80, PVC-coated steel conduit, galvanized rigid steel (GRC), aluminum, stainless steel and electrical metallic tubing (EMT) then displays an estimate for a current project. Results are based on the 2019 – 2020 NECA Manual of Labor Units and regularly updated conduit list prices. Visit the Champion Fiberglass Conduit Calculator.

In addition to the Champion Fiberglass Conduit Calculator, we offer a full suite of calculators for project estimating needs. Our Elbow Calculator provides a comparison and estimate, similar to the conduit calculator, but for elbows. And our Epoxy Adhesive Calculator determines the number of conduit joints and adhesive cartridges your project will require.

BIM/Revit Models for Electrical Conduit

BIM (building information modeling) promotes collaboration among all stakeholders in a construction project as well as increased efficiencies via 3D building. Our BIM library contains 3D models loaded with information that you can use based on the electrical conduit specifications for your project.

Champion Fiberglass BIM/Revit electrical conduit models guide electrical engineers, contractors and architects through smooth planning and successful projects by:

  • Refining procurement for accurate estimates
  • Performing clash detection and resolution to maximize compatibility and minimize field change-orders
  • Increasing efficiency because project collaborators have access to real-time information

Project MasterSpec

Champion Fiberglass also has a presence in Product MasterSpec, a guide for engineers that includes easy downloadable access to CSI formatted specifications, BIM drawings, product data and installation tools. The Champion Fiberglass team worked closely with Avitru’s team of professional specifiers to determine where specification fits and provide guidelines to ensure the product meets the company’s high standards.

Champion Fiberglass products can be found in the following sections of the online tool:

  • 260529 – Hangers and Supports for Electrical Systems
  • 260533 – Raceways and Boxes for Electrical Systems
  • 260543 – Underground Ducts and Raceways for Electrical Systems
