Introducing Champ Pull

At Champ Camp we announced a new tool called Champ Pull that will launch in early 2022. Champ Pull is a simple and powerful tool for pull calculations that can be used by engineers, contractors and sales reps. As a technical tool, it was developed with industry accepted engineering and best practices. As a sales tool, it identifies competitive advantages of our conduit’s low coefficient of friction. We are excited that it positions us as an authority on coefficient of friction values and an industry leader in project support tools.

As for features and benefits, Champ Pull consists of separate 600V and power cable calculators. Its calculations account for continuous and maximum tensions on cables and sidewalls as well as tension limits and jam probability. Champion Fiberglass coefficient of friction is used as the benchmark in the calculations.

Additionally, the tool provides for alternate conduit options to compare against our conduit. For project planning, the tool helps manage and reduce the number of vaults and pull boxes needed for a project.

There are a number of reasons why engineers and contractors should use Champ Pull. First of all, it is easy to use, provides accurate calculations, and it conforms to NEC fill rates and trade size limits. Secondly, it is Excel based and provides a clean and organized output. Additionally, it is fast and powerful with on-going calculations for tension, SWBP and reverse tension utilizing accurate Champion Fiberglass coefficient of friction values. Finally, it offers a helpful comparison.
