Executive Summary: Champion Fiberglass® announces the launch of Champ Pull™, a web-based cable pulling calculator designed to support accurate pulling tension analysis for electrical engineers and contractors. Built for project planning and installation support, Champ Pull helps users evaluate pulling tension, sidewall bearing pressure, conduit material comparisons, and other key factors that inform electrical conduit and cable design decisions.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Spring, Texas (August 3, 2026) – Champion Fiberglass® announces the launch of Champ Pull™, a purpose-built conduit fill and cable pulling calculator designed to support accurate pulling tension analysis for electrical engineers and contractors working with electrical conduit systems.

Developed using industry-accepted engineering principles and best practices, Champ Pull provides reliable calculations that help inform conduit and cable design decisions during project planning and installation. The tool is designed for registered users and will be available via a web-based platform delivering clean, organized outputs.

Champ Pull calculations account for continuous and maximum pulling tensions, sidewall bearing pressure (SWBP), tension limits, and jamming probability to help reduce installation risk and support more informed planning. For low-voltage projects, a 600V version is available.

The cable pulling calculator also allows users to evaluate alternate conduit options, including side-by-side comparisons by conduit material. These comparisons include NECA installation hours, coefficient of friction, weight per foot, and estimated number of supports.

“Champ Pull gives engineers and contractors a practical way to evaluate pulling tension and conduit material options during planning,” said Goran Haag, Executive Chairman and Founder at Champion Fiberglass. “The tool reflects our commitment to supporting project teams with reliable information that helps improve design confidence and installation outcomes.”

For projects involving fiberglass conduit, Champ Pull includes coefficient of friction values and Champion Fiberglass data to support accurate material evaluation. The tool also conforms with NEC fill rates and maximum pulling tension, while providing ongoing calculations for pulling tension and SWBP.

Champ Pull is designed to help users compare conduit materials, review installation considerations, and make informed decisions before cable installation begins in the field. By supporting planning around cable pulling tension, sidewall bearing pressure, and conduit layout, our calculator can help reduce installation challenges related to vaults, pull boxes, and cable routing decisions.

Champ Pull will be available to registered users only. To learn more or register for access, visit https://championfiberglass.com/champ-pull-access.

FAQs

What is Champ Pull™?

Champ Pull™ is a web-based pulling calculator from Champion Fiberglass. It is designed to support pulling tension analysis for electrical engineers and contractors working with electrical conduit and cable installations.

What does the pulling calculator evaluate?

Champ Pull calculates continuous and maximum pulling tensions, sidewall bearing pressure (SWBP), cable tension limits, and jamming probability. It also supports conduit material comparisons for NECA installation hours, coefficient of friction, weight per foot, cable fault risk, and estimated number of supports.

Who is Champ Pull designed for?

Champ Pull is designed for electrical engineers, contractors, journeymen, and project teams involved in planning conduit and cable installations.

Can Champ Pull compare fiberglass conduit with other conduit materials?

Yes. Champ Pull allows users to evaluate alternate conduit options and compare conduit materials side by side, including fiberglass conduit engineering data from Champion Fiberglass.

Is Champ Pull available to all users?

Champ Pull will be available to registered users only. Access details will be provided through the Champ Pull landing page.
