He’s into mountain biking, cars and MMA. Meet Engineering Supervisor Ross Casano

Tell us about your role at Champion Fiberglass.

As Engineering Supervisor, I am responsible for leading our maintenance and machinist team. I design equipment, program our CNC machine to make molds and support production and engineering needs. My main duty is to make sure all equipment is up and running 100% on a day to day basis.

Tell us about your background.

I have been with Champion Fiberglass full time since 2011. I used to work on the manufacturing floor and got promoted to draftsman, where I began supporting sales with drawing requests. After a couple of years at that position, I was given more responsibilities.

Please comment on the electrical conduit market and the role of Champion Fiberglass in it.

Champion Fiberglass is becoming more recognized in the conduit market as we provide affordable, quality materials and installation. We have done a tremendous job at making quality conduit and providing full solutions according to our customers’ needs. We live our slogan, “DO MORE.”

What do you enjoy about working at Champion Fiberglass? Can you say something about the company mission, values and culture?

I enjoy working here because I feel that I make an impact that really helps our customers and the company.

How do you spend your time when not working?

When I am not working, I spend time with my friends, play in a basketball league and enjoy mountain biking. I like to keep myself busy and maintain an active lifestyle.

Tell us something people might not know about you.

I like to work on cars and go on car meets. In my free time, I practice mixed martial arts (MMA).
