Tell us about your role at Champion Fiberglass. When did you start?

I joined Champion Fiberglass in early May 2025. A family friend who was leading the construction project for the production line expansion gave me a call. He told me about this incredible company doing some amazing things and thought my experience would be a good fit. I immediately jumped at the opportunity, interviewed with management, and accepted the offer right away.

Luckily, the company was more than just a great place to continue my career; it is also a fun and warm “family” atmosphere that I really enjoy. I am part of the logistics team, making sure our products reach their destinations as quickly and efficiently as possible. It’s been a great move, not just professionally, but personally as well. The company culture makes coming to work enjoyable.

Tell us about your background.

I was born and raised in Houston, and I have done a little bit of everything over the years. I have an extensive background in warehouse management, customer relations, construction, sales, and logistics. I spent a good portion of my career in the oil and gas sector, working for an industrial valve distributor where I ran the warehouse and later moved into sales. After that, I shifted industries and spent many years delivering and selling craft beer, liquor, and wine all over the greater Houston area. This variety of experience has helped shape how I approach my current role.

What attracted you to the role at Champion Fiberglass?

I realized the key role Champion Fiberglass plays in the infrastructure systems we use every day. Knowing they offered a superior product and over 35 years of success, I knew it was the right move. With the expansion of production lines 4 and 5 coming online next year, I don’t think my timing could have been more perfect.

How do you spend your time when not working?

I really try to fill my free time with as much “fun” as possible. I enjoy freshwater and saltwater fishing, gunsmithing and target shooting, automotive restoration, playing guitar, and binge-watching entire seasons of tv shows all at once. I am lucky that my wife and children enjoy most of these activities and we can enjoy the time together.

Tell us something people might not know about you.

I grew up watching The Simpsons. I now have a huge memorabilia collection. I keep saying I will sell it when the show retires, but it’s still going.

What are you most excited about for 2025 personally and professionally?

Personally, I am most excited about finishing some restoration projects I have been putting off –  a 1965 mustang, a 1988 Bronco, and getting a couple of boats back on the water. Professionally, I am very excited to see what the next few years bring. With production expanding, I believe Champion Fiberglass will make a huge impact in the world. It is all very exciting to see how far we can go.
