Tell us about your role at Champion Fiberglass®.
I joined the Champion Fiberglass® team as the Sales & Marketing Coordinator in May. My role is to support company success by coordinating sales activities, managing impactful marketing campaigns, and by facilitating smooth, consistent communication between internal teams and external partners.
Tell us about your background.
I began working at the age of 15. Having gained some experience working as a program aide, then preschool teacher, I first began my career in the field of coordination as the Program Coordinator for the only AMS-accredited Montessori school in the Austin area. I eventually moved back home to Houston and began growing in a different direction, joining the construction workforce as a Commercial Sales Coordinator for an industry-leading rolling door company. I like to joke that I come from a long line of coordination, as my years of experience in each of these roles prepared me well for my current role as Sales & Marketing Coordinator for Champion Fiberglass.
What attracted you to the role at Champion Fiberglass?
Representing a quality product from a leading manufacturer with a dedicated and knowledgeable team allows me to have complete confidence in how we position Champion Fiberglass in the market. I find it meaningful to contribute to the narrative around our products by showcasing advantages to a wide range of audiences and find it rewarding to support the sales team through various initiatives, such as our tradeshows, with messaging and presentations that educate the market about the unique benefits of fiberglass conduit.
How do you spend your time when not working?
I am an enthusiastic outdoorswoman! I enjoy camping, fishing, gardening, and taking long walks with my sweet pup, Athena. I also enjoy pursuing creative endeavors and have worked that muscle by taking acrylic paint and pottery classes across Houston. On the weekends, I like to bake, having recently perfected my honey buttercream frosting recipe. Lastly, I love to travel, and have been fortunate to explore Italy, Croatia, France, Puerto Rico, and many other U.S. states and territories over the years.
Tell us something people might not know about you.
I played rugby back in the day, earning the titles of Texas women’s state champion alongside my team. I also have an adorable, fuzzy pet tarantula named Arachne.
What are you most excited about this year, personally and/or professionally?
Professionally, I’m excited to join the team of dynamic professionals at Champion Fiberglass and to continue to grow my skills as a sales & marketing coordinator. I look forward to contributing to the company’s success in a meaningful way and experiencing my first Champ Camp, a company-wide event hosting rep agencies that occurs once every two years.
Personally, I’m excited to have reaped a recent large yield of tomatoes, basil, and peppers from my garden and am looking forward to planting more produce to be harvested in the fall.
