Tell us about your role at Champion FiberglassⓇ. When did you start?
As the HR Department Manager at Champion Fiberglass®, I oversee all aspects of human resources, from recruiting and onboarding to employee relations and policy development. Since our company didn’t have an existing HR infrastructure when I joined, I’ve been building our HR processes from the ground up—implementing best practices to support our employees and ensure compliance. My goal is to create a workplace culture where employees feel valued, supported, and set up for success.
Tell us about your background.
I have a background in human resources with a focus on building and improving HR functions in growing companies. My experience includes 14 years of talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, and organizational development. Before joining Champion Fiberglass, I worked at MAERSK as a Human Resource Business partner. I was involved in workforce planning, coaching leadership on best HR practices and driving initiatives that fostered a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Working in a global company like MAERSK gave me valuable experience in navigating complex HR challenges within a fast-paced and dynamic environment, which has greatly shaped my strategic approach to HR today. My passion lies in creating HR structures that not only support business goals but also foster a positive and engaging workplace culture.
What attracted you to the role at Champion Fiberglass?
I was drawn to the role at Champion Fiberglass because it presented a unique opportunity to build an HR function from the ground up. The idea of shaping policies, implementing best practices, and creating a strong company culture was really exciting to me. I was also impressed by the company’s reputation for innovation and quality in the industry. Most importantly, I saw a chance to make a real impact—helping to support employees, enhance workplace processes, and contribute to the company’s overall growth.
How do you spend your time when not working?
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, working out, trying new outdoor activities with family and friends, and reading. Taking time to recharge helps me bring fresh energy and perspective to my role at Champion Fiberglass.
What are you most excited about for 2025, personally and/or professionally?
Professionally, I’m excited to further build and refine Champion Fiberglass’s HR infrastructure in 2025, implementing new initiatives to enhance employee engagement, streamline processes and foster a positive workplace culture. Personally, I look forward to traveling, learning new skills, focusing on health and wellness, and spending more time with family in 2025. I believe in continuous personal and professional growth and anticipate a year of progress and new experiences.
