Recently, our Champion Fiberglass blogs have gained traction on Google. But what, specifically, does this mean for you, and how does it impact your business as a rep?
As you know, Champion Fiberglass places a premium on educating customers throughout their journey to buy fiberglass conduit. We do this because most customers research purchases on the Internet before they make initial contact. They are placing questions and terms in the search bar to learn more about products and competition and get more information about the buy.
So, for example, let’s say an engineer is looking for an electrical conduit alternative due to shortages. If that engineer places “PVC shortage alternative conduit” in a Google search bar, our blog, Seeking PVC Conduit Alternative? comes up on the first search engine results page (also known as SERP). Even better, it is also highlighted as a featured snippet:
We’ve also ranked first SERP for the terms “PVC shortage” and “PVC shortage 2021.” Note the question answered here:
Generally speaking, these high rankings mean that more eyeballs are getting educated about fiberglass conduit. But specifically (and importantly), we’re attracting engaged folks actively seeking information on related fiberglass conduit topics.
Our blogs are piquing the interest of engineers and contractors seeking a conduit solution and hanging out on our website for details. Potential customers are then following up by getting in touch with us for more information. After we answer their questions, we then provide them with the appropriate rep contact. So more eyeballs on our blogs = more potential customers for Reps.
In both of the examples cited, our blogs have ranked higher than news sources like the Wall Street Journal, Business Insider, and Yahoo! Finance. It is exciting to be rewarded for thought leadership here.
Now we won’t bore you with the search engine optimization (SEO) strategy that got the blog in this high ranking position with so much visibility but suffice it to say that it is just another way that Champion Fiberglass listens to customers to address their needs. We listen to reps and customers and glean information from incoming web forms, social media comments, industry publications, the market, and business climate.
Finally, if you are not already doing so, we encourage you to share our blogs on social media and with customers via email by forwarding a link. And if you’ve got some ideas for topics based on customer feedback, we’d love to hear them. You can use the form below to submit ideas.
